Client Profile and Project Brief

A well known telecommunications provider has several regional offices across the UK. Responsibility for the protection of all these premises is held by the central security department based at the main Head Office. Operating across a company LAN / WAN, the client required to control access to all doors (and therefore all secure areas) from a single central system.

The Solution

After evaluating a number of alternatives, the client chose to deploy enGuardPro access control system.  In this installation, the enGuardPro server and database is located at central security department in the main Head Office. Granting or denying access to each site can be controlled from one central location with all changes to access rights etc. being sent to each remote site (i.e. the door controllers and door interface units) over the company's WAN.

The Business Benefits 

The organisation was able to control access to their entire estate from one single point enabling single senior security personnel to manage and control access to all buildings throughout the organisation. Central reports are produced by enGuardPro for monitoring of events and traffic levels at all key points across the estate.
