enGuardPro - system components
The enGuardPro access control system is made up of the following components:
- enGuardPro
server - a PC dedicated to running the application and
communicating with the SQL database.
- enGuardPro
client - a software application used by the users of the
system.
- Door controllers - units used to control up to 8 doors each. They are connected to the
enGuardPro server via serial or TCP/IP communications. In the event of the central server failing,
or a communications breakdown, these units continue to control access through the doors until
connectivity is re-established.
- Door interface units - situated at each door and used to operate the door, door alarm, relay,
RTE etc.
- A reader at each door (e.g. PIN, magnetic stripe, proximity or biometric)
Other optional components may be fitted if you require to print ID cards, although remember that
enGuardPro will require different licensing option to be requested in order to produce ID cards.
- An ID card printer (all makes and models of card printer are supported)
- Image capture method - a choice of: live image camera, scanner or import images directly from
digital cameras.
TSSI enable optional components (e.g. card printing or biometric template management) within
enGuardPro by issuing different licence codes that then control the way the system operates. For
